INDIANAPOLIS, November 9, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — More than 16,000 participants took over the city center Indianapolis this morning at 5pmth CNO Financial (NYSE:) annual Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K. He monumental The day showcased a multitude of records, including three course records and an overall event record as the largest marathon ever held.
Indianapolis Monumental Marathon women’s champion CNO Financial broke the previous course record by nearly four minutes. Lindsey Bradley pulled away to win in 2:31:46, breaking the record set in last year’s race of 2:35:17. Bradley finished more than four minutes ahead of second place and almost 10 minutes ahead of third.
The men’s and women’s half marathon champions rewrote the history books with two new records. Chandler Gibbens sailed through finishing line to cross the line in 1:02:25”, just one second ahead of the record set in 2021. Emma Grace Hurley She dominated the women’s race from the start and won in 1:08:25, two minutes faster than the 2021 record time of 1:10:43. The top three finishers in the women’s category finished below the previous course record.
Additionally, the marathon set an overall event record with the largest number of finishers in history. More than 5,000 marathoners obtained their finisher’s medal in the heart of Indianapolis today.

Men’s champion: Chandler Gibbens of chicago He ran to the finish line with a new course record of 1:02:25. Jack Mastandrea of Greenville, South Carolina, USAfinished in second position with a time of 1:03:49, and Alejandro Martínez Ambrosio of Flagstaff, Arizona.finished third in 1:04:01.
Women’s champion: Emma Grace Hurley Indianapolis led the women’s race and finished first with a new record of 1:08:25. The second classified was Julia Paternain from Flagstaff, Arizona.He achieved a time of 1:10:15 and finished in third place. Sara Sala of Flagstaff, Arizona.He crossed the finish line in a time of 1:10:26.

- The 2024 event is on the 12thth consecutive sell-out of the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.
- More than 16,000 participants joined the 2024 event from all 50 states and more than 30 countries, including Bermuda, France, Singapore and Porcelain.
