Kody Brown would like to have a word or two of high power.
Yes, He high power.
On the latest episode of Sister Wives, the TLC reality series shed light on Kody’s failed marriage to Meri Brown.
“It’s been an interesting year,” Meri said to the camera at one point when the topic turned to Kody and why Meri had to walk away.
“I really, really felt like he was doing everything he could to get me to leave so he could say, ‘My hands are clean. She’s the one who left.'”
Meri and Kody were married from 1994 to 2010.
The latter divorced the former so he could marry Robin Brown and legally adopt her children from a previous relationship.
In this past Sunday’s installment, Meri explained her choice to “proceed with the official consummation through the church where we were married.”
She recalled that she messaged Cody that she had started the process to see if he had “any input.” But Cody never responded to the message.
He sucks very, very much.
Mary then went to Utah to meet with church leaders, where she was provided with what she calls release From the union.
,[It’s] Basically the equivalent of divorce,” she explained on air. “It was a very difficult conversation. …This isn’t what I wanted to do. That wasn’t my intention when I married Cody.”
Meri stuck with Cody forever, it seemed like a lot of time had passed since the two were intimate or close in any way.
They announced their split in January 2023.
Ending their spiritual union means Meri and Kody have nothing else “that keeps us together for eternity,” she told viewers last Sunday, emphasizing:
“We are no longer married in any way, shape or form.”
For Kodi?
“Robyn felt that if I waited on God, things could change for me and Mary’s relationship,” he actually said in the on-camera confessional.
“And that was the advice I took, and I waited. As time went on, I realized that this would never really work.
Look, friends? This divorce was not Kody’s fault. God never showed the path to that poor man.
“I’m sorry about that, Mary. I wish I had figured it out sooner,” Cody said, also in a condescending tone.
And while Robyn claimed Kody shed tears over the break-up, the father of 17 himself told a different story.
“Oh, I’m totally relieved it’s done,” he noted on air. “It is sad. This is heartbreaking. But I’m relieved it’s done. I had long since moved on, but honestly I was afraid of what she would do if I ripped that Band-Aid off. Because Mary was never loyal to me.
