While the world mourns the death of Liam Payne, the people who knew him best are sharing their pain.
This also includes his One Direction brothers.
Lewis Tomlinson expressed his grief in a touching tribute that reflected their bond as band mates.
A bond that wasn’t always so easy, but ultimately endured. And they also included a promise to look after her young son as an “uncle” in Liam’s absence.

Louis and Liam were linked for life through their tenure in One Direction, possibly one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
After news of Liam’s tragic death broke, Louis shared his heartache with fans and followers with a statement on social media.
“I am extremely saddened to write this but yesterday I lost a brother. Liam was someone I looked up to everyday, he was a positive, funny and kind person,’ Louis wrote on Instagram the day after Liam passed away.
He then reflected on their time together.
“I first met Liam when he was 16 and I was 18, I was immediately smitten by his voice but more importantly as time went on I came to appreciate the kind brother I Got a chance to see what I had been yearning for all my life. Liam was an incredible song writer and had a great sense of melody, we would often talk about getting back together in the studio and recreating the writing chemistry we had built in the band.
He then added: “For the record, Liam was the most important part of One Direction in my opinion. His experience from a young age, his perfect pitch, his stage presence, his gift for writing. The list goes on. Thanks Liam for whipping us into shape.”

He then shared a message directly to Liam, and hoped he could reach his friend wherever he is now.
“I feel so lucky to have you in my life, but I’m really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye. I am so grateful that since the band we have become even closer, talking on the phone for hours, remembering thousands of wonderful memories spent together is a luxury I thought I would have with you for the rest of my life. I would have loved to share the stage with you again but it could not happen.
I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me, I will be the uncle he needs in life and I will tell him stories about how amazing his father was.
I wish I had a chance to say goodbye and tell you one more time how much I love you.

While Louis and Liam eventually found a connection through their boy band journey, the pair initially had difficulty seeing eye to eye.
In a 2019 interview hits the radioLiam confessed that he and Lewis really “hated each other” in the beginning.
“It felt like when we were in the band, because he was the oldest and because I had been singing for so long, we were both in an awkward position,” Liam told the outlet.
“He was trying to be a leader and I was doing my job and wanted to do that. So at first we did not get along at all. We absolutely hated each other, it was so much fun. really bad. We hid it well.”

Latest details on Liam’s demise
Liam tragically died after falling from the third floor balcony of his room at the Casasur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday 16 October. He was 31 years old.
Police told the press that Liam suffered “extremely serious injuries” and medical staff pronounced him dead at the scene.
While the cause of death is still under investigation, the Forensic Medical Corps at the Judicial Morgue told Buenos Aires newspaper La Nación that the preliminary autopsy report has been completed. ,
Liam’s initial cause of death was multiple injuries that caused internal and external bleeding.
