Collin Gosselin has a message for his seemingly evil mother.
Earlier this week, the former reality star spoke to The Sun about the broken nature of his relationship with parent Kate Gosselin… almost a month after the horrific allegations were made against her.
“First and foremost, my relationship with my brothers and sisters is a top priority for me,” the 20-year-old told this outlet.
“And I think the only way my mother and I can reconnect and heal our relationship in the future is if she comes forward with the truth and all the things she has kept hidden.”
There’s a lot of background here.
In 2018, Jon Gosselin was awarded custody of his son after Collin wrote to his father asking for help from a mental health facility.
A few years later, Colin accused Kate of institutionalizing him to hide the abuse he suffered at her hands – as revealed in a bombshell July 2023 interview on The Dark Side of 2000s series Vice.
“You know he’s tried to ruin my name and my father’s name many times,” Colin told The Sun on October 8. “I just want him to come forward with the truth. [But] Yes, that door will be open, 100 percent.
Colin is one of Kate and Jon’s eight children – including 24-year-old twins Maddie and Cara and 20-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Aiden, Hannah, Leah and Joel.
The family’s life was depicted in the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8 (later renamed Kate Plus 8 after their 2009 divorce), which ran from 2007 to 2017.
At this time, Colin and Hannah live with their father (and do not speak to their siblings), while Kate has other people. And there may be some money related problems also.
Last month, Colin told The Sun that his mother was physically and verbally abusive to him and even forced him to live in the basement of their home.
“My mother had a room built in our unfinished part of the storage basement. He had a room with cameras, a small window in the corner and it was locked from the outside,” he told the newspaper in an interview published on September 9.
“It was literally like a control room, and it had a mattress on the floor and that’s how I lived.”
She added that Kate allegedly “tied my hands and legs together and locked the door, turned off the lights and there were cameras just watching me.”
If true, absolutely terrifying.
But Kate says that these allegations are wrong.
Gosselin had previously criticized her ex-husband and her son online, saying, “I’ve remained silent for a long time, but I’m tired of Collin and Jon controlling what has become of my story and all these lies. Is.”
“I don’t support fiction, no matter who it comes from.”
“I cannot support any report that is distorted and imaginary.”
