According to Taylor Frankie Paul, the rumors have turned into unfortunate reality.
Amid speculation on social media about her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, Taylor told US Weekly on Monday that she and her boyfriend are, in fact, on a break.
“I would say we’re working on things, and I really have no idea where it goes with us,” Taylor told this tabloid. “We’re not completely back together, but we’re not completely over either. I don’t know what the future holds with him and me.”
Taylor admitted to being “heartbroken” by the developments, and insisted that the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives played a major role in the apparent split.
“He has a really nice soft side, and I think that’s not shown on the show,” Paul explained.
“He says, ‘I make you look like an idiot when you’re pregnant,’ when that’s not at all how I treated you the whole time. Yeah, I defended myself [some] “I’ve always been like this, but I’m not like this to you. I look like a really horrible person when I’m not like this.”
Taylor and Dakota began dating just months after Taylor announced her marriage to ex-husband Tate was over … the announcement came in the wake of her Mormon friend group’s soft swinging scandal.

In Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” which premieres Sept. 6, Taylor and Dakota discover they are expecting their first child.
Taylor later suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
In February 2023, he was arrested on domestic violence charges after a drunken fight with Dakota, which he was later acquitted. Too It got captured on camera.
The reality series continued Taylor and Dakota’s journey several weeks after her arrest — and after Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in August 2023 — while she was pregnant with son Ever.
Speaking after the show began, Taylor said she and Dakota were committed to a future together after the baby’s birth in March.

“I think I may have lashed out at my mom and been a little harsh — and she’s very sensitive — so I think that may have been very hard for her,” Taylor said then.
