Eminem’s relationship with his estranged mother has inspired several songs and even made a memorable storyline in the rapper’s biopic.
Now it seems that the situation is turning out to be tragic.
According to a new report in touchEminem’s mother, Debbie Nelson, has been diagnosed with a serious form of lung cancer.
Though the music mogul is helping his mother financially, the two are reportedly no longer on speaking terms.
In fact, sources close to the situation say they’re not sure if Em even knows about her mother’s illness.
Eminem’s mother is fighting for her life
A source describes Debbie as “gravely ill with lung cancer” and says her son has not traveled to St. Joseph, Missouri, to see her.
“There aren’t a lot of options [for Debbie]” says the insider.
“She is currently living at the cancer center and with her family members. She has very little time left [left],
The source expressed concern over whether Em even knows about her mother’s condition.
“People around him aren’t even sure if Eminem even knows what’s going on with his mother,” the source added.

Debbie’s history of health problems
In an interview in 2008, Debbie revealed that she was battling breast cancer.

He recently beamed with pride at daughter Hailie’s wedding. And insiders say the hip hop legend has also made peace with his ex-wife Kim Scott.
Unfortunately, it appears that Eminem and his mother are still at odds.
And they might not have much time left to repair their relationship.
