Dave Grohl takes a dig at Taylor Swift with ‘Errors Tour’: How did she respond?

Are Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift having a falling out? Well, there is!

Over the weekend, Taylor Swift’s Era The World Tour performance in London delighted fans. But despite this, he also has his critics.

Dave Grohl and his band, the Foo Fighters, also performed in London during the first weekend of summer. Grohl made some comments that seemed to accuse Taylor of not performing live.

What does Taylor have to say about this?

Dave Grohl jokes about ‘The Errors Tour’

While Taylor Swift was performing her shows at Wembley Stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters band performed at the London Stadium.

“That’s why we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,'” Grohl jokes onstage.

He added, “We’ve had it for ages, and we’ve had some mistakes. Just a few. That’s because we actually play live.”

Grohl is not as famous as Taylor Swift. However, many people know him. He is one of the biggest faces in mainstream rock music.

He was also a member of Nirvana at one point.

So it’s not like he’s some random singer at an open mic night trying to get attention by imitating someone famous. This is an established, prominent name in the music industry.

Was Dave Grohl imitating Taylor Swift?

“What?!” Grohl said to his audience. “Just saying. You guys love raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You’ve come to the right place.”

Earlier in the night he had mentioned the Eras World Tour to his audience – which led to jeers from the audience.

To this, Dave Grohl responded simply: “I tell you what, you don’t want to incur the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

Obviously, many people on social media — particularly Swifties and Swift-haters — were quick to assume that Grohl was copying Swift.

Also, many remembered Dave Grohl’s comments at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2015, during which he told the crowd that he felt “obsessed” with Taylor Swift.

A lot can change in nine years. Did he go from writing a song dedicated to Swift to insulting her as an artist and a performer just to appease a crowd of weirdos who hate Swift?

Does Taylor Swift perform live? Her response to Dave Grohl’s shade

On Sunday, June 23, Taylor Swift once again performed at Wembley Stadium. During this performance, Taylor paid tribute to her band.

He praised, “Every single member of my band, every single member of our team, my band — who will be performing live for you tonight for three and a half hours — they deserve this so much.”

You can see many videos of Taylor on Twitter and social media in which she is saying the same thing.

It’s entirely possible that Taylor’s comment was simply a tribute to her band, reminding everyone of their hard work.

Finally, Era The world tour won’t last forever. These professionals deserve recognition – and a future of work. This is their job, and no matter how well Taylor pays them, they will want to work again someday.
