Is Kevin Costner really dating Jewel?
In early 2024, excited rumors speculated that Kevin Costner and Jewel were in a serious romance.
Footage from eyewitnesses and even photographs seemed to support the idea that they were in some sort of confusion.
However, now Costner himself is squashing people’s hopes of a “revenge” engagement following his divorce from Jewel. He’s talking as if they were never dating.

Famously, they had an expensive and unexpectedly dramatic divorce in 2023.
Naturally, this conversation led to the fact that he and Jewel are in a relationship. What’s more, the two have met and have a lot in common, so it’s not at all unthinkable.
Kevin Costner’s divorce from Christine Baumgartner was finalized in February. However, the marriage was over long before that.
Howard Stern revealed that he had “heard rumors” about Costner and Jewell.
But the actor revealed things weren’t as romantic with the folk singer as many thought.
Kevin Costner and Jewel never went out
“No, Jewel and I are friends,” Kevin Costner told Stern, and of course, the audience.
“We have never been out of place,” he insisted.
“She’s special,” Costner praised. “And I don’t want, I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have.”
“She’s special to me,” added Kevin Costner. He complimented her by saying: “She’s too beautiful to go out with.”
Stern then wondered about the relationship report: “How does it all start? Kevin, that’s how it works.”
“We were down [Richard] On Branson’s island. He has a foundation, which I didn’t know about, and she was part of the foundation,” Costner recalled. “And Richard Branson had been asking me to come to Necker Island for years, and so I finally came.”

Costner then explained: “I’m suddenly divorced. I’m a single father, and she asked me for, you know, 10 years to move there. I said, ‘I think I’ll move there.'”
He added: “I got on the plane with nine people. Jewel was one of them. Emma Watson was one of them. She was someone I had some of the best conversations with, along with Emma. “It sounds like a fantastic time.
“The rumor was that I went down on a private plane with her and I came back on a private plane with her,” Costner elaborated. “I was with nine people and I don’t want the press to ruin it for us, because … I’ve had conversations with her, text-wise, and she’s very understanding, and she’s been through a lot herself, and so we have a friendship.”
“There’s no romance between us, and we haven’t even dated,” Kevin Costner insisted about Jewel.
“She’s too beautiful and smart for all that. It never happened to us,” he confirmed. “She’s everything you could imagine, but it never happened.”
Apparently, the rumors were so intense that they even had to clarify things for their kids. And from the reporting of some very reputable outlets, even people close to them thought the two were over each other.
