Piers Morgan has made no secret of his thoughts about Kate Middleton’s health and wellbeing.
As the princess is battling cancer, Piers has been constantly talking about her journey on his social media and in interviews. He even said that he has heard “worrying” things about her condition.
So, like the rest of the world, they watched Kate’s return to royal life at Trooping the Colour this weekend. Their comments on her appearance have left people divided.
Piers Morgan on Kate Middleton’s royal return: ‘Back on duty’
Shortly after Kate Middleton drove through the streets of London on Saturday and then waved to the crowds from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Piers Morgan was there. Twitter,
He posted a photo of the young princess, showing her smiling through the crowd. “Great to see The Princess of Wales back on duty at the Trooping of the Colour, and looking absolutely stunning,” he wrote in the caption.
This photo shows Kate’s first public appearance of the year at Trooping the Colour. Although it is her first appearance, it may be her last for a while. In the announcement made the day before, Kate admitted that she has good and bad days.
“On bad days you feel weak and tired and you need to give your body a rest. But on good days, when you feel strong, you want to take full advantage of feeling good.
He stressed that his treatment is “ongoing” and will continue “for a few more months”, adding:
“On the days when I feel well enough, I enjoy getting involved in school life, spending personal time on things that give me energy and positivity, as well as doing a little work from home.”
Did Piers take a dig at Kate Middleton?
Coming back to Piers and his post, many were divided over the deeper meaning of his words. While some praised Kate for her good looks, others felt Piers was taking a subtle dig at the royal family.
“I understand why people don’t like this guy,” one person said. X posted in the comments. “A tweet would have been fine but she had to be “back on duty”. She is fighting cancer, others are just happy to see HRH Princess of Wales.”
It seems some people think Piers was questioning why it took so long for Kate to get back to “work.” Her father-in-law King Charles, who is battling cancer, has been attending events frequently since his diagnosis.
And that’s something her critics/Kate supporters didn’t like.
“Back to duty?”, another Commentators “Tell me, Pierce, what is his duty?”
But then, there were many others who enjoyed her comeback and let the opinions and comments of others fade into the background.
What’s next for Kate Middleton?
After attending Trooping the Flag and the first time her children have posted on social media in honor of their father, it’s likely that Kate will again go into the background and relax.
While the world is still confused about the type of cancer she is battling, it is clear that she still has a long way to go to recover and Kate needs more time to heal.
Whether this means she will spend her summer holidays away from the spotlight with her kids or limit her activities until 2025, we don’t know.
But the most important thing is that she’s getting better. Whatever that means for her, the world should support her.
