VVIP Ventures LLC, a joint venture between Vinco Ventures Inc. BBIG,
and Icon Publishing LLC, have agreed to acquire the US and UK editions of the National Enquirer, National Examiner and Globe from publisher a360 Media LLC in an all-cash deal. Terms were not disclosed, but VVIP Ventures is entitled to a 90-day period to discuss further business deals with a360 Media. Vinco Ventures hopes to create new monetization opportunities for the news portfolio through AdRizer, a publisher and analytics company it acquired in February 2022. Vinco will also aggressively pursue TV, film and podcast licensing partnerships to leverage archiving, investigative journalism and the latest news from the Enquirer. news. Vinco’s stock has fallen 67% in the past 12 months, while the S&P 500 SPX,
has fallen 8%.
