Earlier this month, the Ecuadorian midfielder signed an enhanced contract through June 2027 at Estadio Amex to avoid summer interest.

In his column of caught offside, Romano affirmed that the future of Caicedo still hangs by a thread despite his recent contract renewal. He wrote:
“It’s not about being persuaded to stay. Caicedo deserved a raise after Brighton turned down a £70m offer and a huge salary from Arsenal, so it was absolutely normal to take him. I think the top clubs will try sign him again.” in the next summer. The contract extension definitely helps Brighton, but it doesn’t change the situation for the summer: the best clubs will be there.”

Gabriel Agbonlahor targets Chelsea target to secure a transfer to Arsenal this summer
Speaking in talk sportFormer Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has shared his thoughts on the future of West Ham United captain Declan Rice amid growing interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. He elaborated:
“I think he would prefer to go to Chelsea maybe because he was there as a kid, but they sacked him as a kid. You have Enzo Fernandez there, who Chelsea just signed. They have a lot of midfielders, and the way Arsenal are playing in this moment, you could look at the project under [Mikel] Arteta and I think ‘Why not?'”.
Providing insight into Rice’s thought process, Agbonlahor added:
“‘Could go in there, Jorginho isn’t going to play much, Thomas Partey is always injured.’ Declan Rice gets into that side, keeps his place in the starting lineup, probably puts those two players out next season. So, I think that he will join Arsenal”.
Overall, the UEFA Euro 2020 finalist has scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 227 appearances in all competitions for West Ham.
