Jamal Yusupov is preparing for war this Friday night at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
The No. 2 ranked contender will be the first man to challenge newly crowned ONE World Muay Thai Featherweight Champion Tawanchai PK.Saenchai and he plans to make the most of this opportunity.
Speaking in a pre-fight interview, ‘Yeniceri’ shared his desire to give fans at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium a show in their co-feature:
“I just want to tell him to get ready and be prepared to do your best. Because I want to show a spectacular fight in this event”.
Although Jamal Yusupov has not been the most active fighter in ONE Championship, he has made the most of every appearance he has made within the circle. ‘Yeniceri’ is undefeated under the ONE banner with three straight wins, something he has in common with his ONE Fight Night 7 opposition.
Fresh off his ONE world title win and a performance worthy of being named ONE Championship Muay Thai Fighter of the Year, Tawanchai will look to carry his 2022 momentum into the new year by handing the Turkish veteran his first ONE loss.
Fans in North America can watch the highly anticipated clash of Muay Thai live and free with an Amazon Prime Video subscription in US prime time this Friday night.
Tawanchai is ready to show off his enhanced skills against Jamal Yusupov
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is coming off the best year of his combat sports career. With three consecutive victories inside the circle, the muay thai star capped it off by winning an ONE world championship in spectacular fashion at ONE 161 in September.
Despite being at the top, Tawanchai is always looking to improve in any way possible:
“Since I joined ONE, I have been working hard on myself,” Tawanchai told the promotion. “I know what parts of me need to change. I’ve identified my strengths and what the fans like, and then adjusted accordingly. I would do anything to get better, to fill any gaps I may have.”
Tawanchai will once again look to showcase his enhanced skills on combat sports’ biggest stage against a dangerous Turkish striker in Jamal Yusupov.
Will Tawanchai’s reign over the featherweight division continue or will Yusupov cut the UNO world title from the Thai warrior? Fans will find out this Friday night.
