If Sage Northcutt ever gets bored with MMA, she might want to try her hand at gymnastics. Lightweight MMA fighter ONE is always up for wild stunts that may make fans wonder if he is, in fact, not from Earth but from another planet of giants.
‘Super’ is at it again, filming himself spinning and kicking throughout the year in what looks like a gym studio after hours when he has the whole place to himself.

Imagine the reaction if Sage Northcutt attempted such a kick in circle ONE. He would fill in for Anthony Pettis’ standout kick against Benson Henderson at the WEC final event in 2010.
Sage will be looking to pull out all her old tricks and show off some new ones when she makes her long-awaited return to the circle on May 5th. She won’t have to travel far this time, traveling just one time zone east from California to Colorado to fight Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba.
Sage Northcutt has not broken into the ONE circle since 2019. He was already scheduled to return from a 2021 hiatus against Shinya Aoki, but complications in recovering from Covid-19 delayed his return for another two years.
Ahmed Mujtaba is the perfect opponent for the 26-year-old’s comeback fight. On paper, it may be one of the most even matchups ONE could put together for Northcutt. Both are over 20 years old and have similar records. While the American has had plenty of hype around him since he signed with ONE Championship, Mujtaba has the momentum advantage after back-to-back wins.
The fight will take place at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
Sage Northcutt lists extreme outdoor sports that kept him busy during his spare time
Northcutt may not have fought for four years, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t living an adventurous life in the meantime.
‘Super’ Sage Northcutt lives in Northern California, where he is surrounded by trails, national parks, and wild landscapes.
Talking to Ariel Helwani in MMA time, Northcutt spoke about the many activities he enjoyed while taking a break from wrestling. This is what he said:
“I love hiking, so I do a lot of hiking. I like to fish, ride a motorcycle. I have a BMW X1000R, so I ride a motorcycle with some friends, with my family. I like to do that kind of thing, I ride dirt bikes, I’m just exploring.”
added:
“I’m always outdoors doing a lot of things.”
From the outdoors to the gym, Northcutt will spend much of the next three months on Team Sacramento’s Alpha Male, preparing to fight Ahmed Mujtaba in May.
