Earlier this year, Vanessa Guerra revealed that husband Colt Johnson suffered a horrific shattered leg.
At the time, he did not elaborate on how he sustained his gruesome, life-changing injuries.
Now, Vanessa is opening up more about Colt’s horrific accident.
It turns out that they were filming for 90 Day Fiancé franchise at that time. And he doesn’t expect to film ever again.
Vanessa Guerra held an Instagram Q&A earlier this week to answer a lot of fans’ questions.
First and foremost, she revealed that she refuses to film for the franchise anymore. Sometimes.
Vanessa said it is “unlikely” that the colt would either. Obviously one can never Completely Surely that’s what Colt would do.
Vanessa has her reasons. And she shared them with fans and followers.
On December 2, 2022, Colt met with a horrific accident. Vanessa has now revealed that a trampoline was involved in the accident.
She has also now revealed that Colt was filming 90 Day Fiancé (as a franchise) in some capacity when this disaster struck.
On January 7, 2023, Vanessa took to Instagram to share the dire news about Colt’s accident.
She shared a lot of details about her horrific leg injuries. She posted pictures of the colt in his hospital bed.
Vanessa also details the long road ahead of Colt to heal and regain his mobility. But initially he did not tell what had happened.
Vanessa shares that Colt’s trampoline disaster had dire consequences. The accident left him both dislocated and his leg broken.
The colt remained in the hospital for two weeks. And he underwent three separate surgeries in an attempt to repair the damage.
And then, of course, came the complications. Pain medication, for example, caused the colt to lose control of his bladder. He had to use a catheter until early January – if not beyond.
Vanessa also detailed how this accident and its dire effect on Colt’s mobility changed the course of his life.
For one thing, they previously lived in a second-story apartment. not anymore.
Not only did they have to move into a ground-floor apartment so Colt could come and go, but Vanessa had to handle the move all by herself. And it was all over within a few days.
Based on what Vanessa has shared so far, Colt can and will recover from this.
But it will take a long time. It can take six to eight months to recover from this type of leg break. That means the late fall 2022 injury won’t fully wear off until the summer of 2023.
And there’s more – the colt will undergo physical therapy as part of his recovery. Specifically, he has to learn to walk again.
Vanessa and Colt are definitely a controversial couple. You would think that this is because Colt cheated on several exes with Vanessa (um, some of them are alleged, but not all). But it is much more than that.
Colt and Vanessa have some real issues to work through. Among other things, they spent some time living apart and sharing the same city, despite being married.
However, none of us would wish this horror on Colt. We are sure this is a difficult time for both of them. That said… we wonder why it seems that Vanessa harbors a grudge against the franchise for what happened to Colt. Perhaps, in time, she’ll share more.
