At this point in their respective “careers” both Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are more famous for their rocky marriages than for any acting they might have done when the proposals were still rolling in.
Dean’s affair with a possibly decorated woman named Emily Goodhand briefly made the McDermotts reality TV stars.
They were married for a few years after that — despite more rumors of infidelity on Dean’s part — but last summer, having squeezed all the publicity they could out of their marital drama, Spelling and McDermott finally called it quits.
or did they?
According to a new report from Page Six, Tori and Dean were spotted enjoying an intimate date in LA last night.
And it seems like the kind of occasion the couple alerted the media in the hope they would be “spotted”.
After sipping wine during a long, romantic dinner (we have a feeling Dean isn’t sober anymore), the couple walked hand-in-hand to their car, where they enjoyed a brief make-out session in plain view of the paparazzi.
So yeah, it’s safe to say that these two are back together.
They never formally announced their breakup, but the two of them were photographed hanging out without their wedding rings over the summer.
And for months, neither of them corrected any of the reports they claimed to have dropped.
So it seems pretty clear that Tori and Dean either split, or wanted everyone to think they had.
However, around the holidays, Dean began to drop hints that he and Tori had secretly reconciled.
“Everything is wonderful. Everything is great. We are having so much fun,” he told the UK tabloid Sun Back in November.
Soon after, Dean makes an appearance on Tori’s Christmas card, leading to speculation that they may, in fact, be giving the thing another chance.
The couple shares five children together, so it makes sense that they would want to try and make things work.
But the road may not be easy.
In addition to claims that Dean repeatedly cheated on Tory, there have been major financial difficulties, mainly stemming from the fact that McDermott fell behind on his child support payments.
These days, his son by Mary Jo Eustace is 18 and living with the McDermotts, so we guess that won’t be a problem anymore.
As far as other things go — well, it’s Valentine’s Day, and we’re feeling optimistic, so we’re going to say that these two have a chance!
